Description:

  • summary: Time-series of MODIS_MCD43C1 V005 spectral BRDF parameters (RossThick-LiSparse model) have been collected and averaged for each calendar month. Missing values have been filled in. The 3 BRDF variables are: BRDF_Geometric_Part, BRDF_Isotropic_Part, BRDF_Volumetric_Part. These BRDF parameters are defined for each of these spectral bands : - Band1: 620-670 nm; - Band2: 841-876 nm; - Band3: 459-479 nm; - Band4: 545-565 nm; - Band5: 1230-1250 nm; - Band6: 1628-1652 nm; - Band7: 2105-2155 nm; - NIR: 700-5000 nm; - Shortwave: 250-5000 nm; - VIS: 400-700 nm. Bands 1 to 7 are the original spectral bands of the MODIS sensor. Bands NIR, shortwave, and VIS are defined in (Liang et al., 1999). Details about the dataset are given by (Blanc et al., 2018 ; 2014). The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under Grant Agreement no. 218793 (MACC project) and no. 283576 (MACC-II project). This work could not have been done without the efforts made by NASA and the MODIS Team.
